I had my personal photographer with me to help report the goings on in the outside world, since I was so "wrapped up" with all the *fibery goodness* before me!
Lets start with the weather...last night it started snowing...and continued today! Hubby got up really early this morning to venture down the road to Babcock State Park for this shot (and many other great ones...I had a hard time choosing the shot for this post). You might recognize this from any scenic calendar you might have...besides Mabry's Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway its one of the most photographed mills! This one is still in operation and when open you can purchase their various products.
I met a BloggerBuddy....we share a lot in common...including our name! Robin, I hope you had a great time~~I know I did! Sorry for the minor problem on Friday night...but like I said consider the source!
You are so much fun~and you made my time there so much better!
Isn't her shawl GORGEOUS?! Please go on over to her blog and check out what she had to say about the Retreat! We've both made our reservations for September!!
Well, I'm beat...but there's one more thing I need to post--that is for my NascarKnitters total!
Kimberly, I hope my spinning totals count! I spun 200 grams of my Highlander fiber...
This picture is part of a bigger one (gee, I wonder what the big picture is of?)...I may just decide to give you bits at a time... muwahaahaa~muwahaahaa!
Well...I'll leave you with that tonight! Because we were out in no-where we had no cell phone service and the wireless card on Hubby's laptop had a *problem*! In other words...I have lots of emails to catch up on and blogs to read!
Keep on Knittin', Spinnin' & Walkin'!!!!

OMG, I am so jealous! What gorgeous pictures! I'm so glad you had a good time. I'mk looking forward to hearing more about your retreat. Gorgeous fiber.
So far looks like a great weekend. Welcome back!
Wooow!! That is GAUW-JUUSS. I did not think about spinning as part of the KAL, but I will figure a way for getting points for spinning up fiber stash. I could be convinced with a bribe... ;)
Just kidding!!
=:8
That mill photo from Babcock is absolutely gorgeous!!! Jack got a really great shot. The picture of your yarn doesn't do it justice. I think that was the prettiest yarn I've seen in quite a while. Would love to have a sweater knit from that colorway. I had a great time this weekend and you made my trip!!! Already looking forward to September!
Stunning mill photo -- hard to believe that's even real! And your handspun is fabulous - kudos! Looking forward to upcoming installments about the weekend! :-)
Photo of mill is incredible!
I'm so glad you had such a fabulous time and that handspun, beyond beautiful...brava!
Oooo, the highlander is beautiful. What is it telling you it wants to be?
Maybe I can make it in September. Keeping my fingers crossed.
