Playing Catch-up!!

See why I love my backyard this time of year?

Sorry I've been *absent* from posting...a springtime cold has had it's grip on me! I'm beginning to feel better, so I'm trying to get things back to normal!

Needless to say there's not much progress on my knitting...on Friday & Saturday I was so achy I couldn't knit comfortably...so I slept!

DD-Julia and I have joined WeightWatchers! Loonnggggg overdue...so wish us luck! I need to lose just over 40lbs. We started yesterday....and I'm STARVING! It's all in my head...I'm not really eating less than before, just the foods I should be eating! If someone had not told me I was "dieting" I would never really know...and wouldn't be so darn hungry! Really....I'm exaggerating, it's not so bad. One funny happened today, there are these *little* (and I do mean in size) cakes you are allowed to eat, and they are GOOD--well, Julia dropped a crumb in the floor...talk about a mad rush to "hoover" that one up! We nearly bonked heads diving for it!
Meanwhile, while I'm getting back to my knitting here's a Knitter's Survey I found on MommaSusie's blog:

Grats on joining WW! I myself am on the WW diet, but I haven't officially joined as a member. I have some books and a point counter from where my mom was in it. It works! If you need some motivation -- I've already lost almost 9 pounds after starting two weeks ago. I know you will reach your goal!

I should join, but really I should walk! Time to get the mileage going again!

How ironic! I'm planning on joining WW next Tuesday (first meeting). Lordy...I wish I only had to lose 40! LOL Good luck (and please cross your fingers for me too).

I totally cracked up on the 'hoover' move..sounds like my daughter and I...I should look into the WW....I have a good 40 lbs I need to get rid of, it doesn't get any easier either, ladies, the..ahem...older you get and the hormones, or rather lack of, don't help either...
I completely understand why you spend time in your yard...it's quite enchanting.

Hope you're feeling better! And good luck with the WW. I'll be interested to follow your progress. Do you still walk a lot?

That's an interesting knitting list. I might just do that myself....

Your yard looks gorgeous! And I think colds are a theme right now - WW is GREAT! when you get that 'starving' feeling, drink a glass of water and wait a bit, and if that doesn't work? Keep around lots of celery - carrots end up having points after a time, but celery's almost totally water. I also tried to add in a 0-1pt salad with EVERY meal - and intend to again!

I'm starting up a new site with several friends - check it out! I'll be doing lots of stuff on weight loss, and we'll have health and everything else - it's going to be great, and hopefully keep us accountable! check it out:
