Whole Lotta Knittin' Goin' On!!

Me stop knitting after the holidays?? NEVER! How else do I keep my sanity through all the "family togetherness"? It's either knit or read a book...knitting is a little more "social" than curling up with a book.

I started this a couple months ago but when the holiday knitting intervened I had to set it aside...then all the packages were wrapped and ready for the various gatherings~~I got sick!

Catch up time!

I LOVE-LOVE-LOVE cables, this project has just enough to keep me going. Aran Wrap Cardigan (RavLink) from Vogue Knitting Fall 2008, designed by Angela Hahn.
I fell in love with her designs back in the summer when I knit the Dayflower Camisole. Since then I've queued several of her patterns. This one hasn't disappointed me in the least...so easy to follow.
I'm using the handspun from Eva Braun, (read more here) remember her?

I'm getting ready to start the first armhole, it's going fast...that's why I love cables, you can see the pattern emerge with each row. I find myself saying - "Just one more row" over and over again!

What are you knitting on? Did you burn out from the holidays?

Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!!

I didn't burn out knitting for the holidays, because I didn't do any! I got tired of seeing my carefully crafted gifts shoved into the back of the closet, or collecting dust on the back of the piano. So, no more holiday knitting for me.

I'm not burnt out from the holidays, just this cold/pnemonia has me not wanting to do a thing. But I did a quick dishcloth KAL this week to get back into it. So far so good.

I'm knitting a sock and the Noro Scarf. I'm also trying to pick my next big project, but I can't decide.

I picked back up a baby blanket I had started late Aug...and am making a conscious effort to let that be my primary work of the moment...the baby isn't due until April..but it's a first..so it could be early! Since it's called an 8-Hour..you'd think I'd be done, huh?..lol

I finished my cowl, and plan to finish up my Voyager stole today, and then move on to another old WIP, the ribbon lace scarf. I do have a pair of socks on the needles in the car for travels...

WOw!!! I'm impressed. I'm finally getting caught up on reading blogs (had 15 posts listed for you that's how far behind I am) and I'm in awe at how much knitting you've gotten done over the holidays.... and with being sick and everything!!! You are amazing girl!!! I hardly got in any knitting, and absolutely no blogging.

That is going to be beautiful!! Me, I'm wasting my time knitting a kitty bed for Jazzy. I say wasting my time cause you know how those cats are when you make them something... 90% of the time they won't have anything to do with it. LOL
