Happy Spring!

Day 4....can you believe it? Do you think I can make it 5 days in a row?

Spring? So the calendar says...

So, yesterday I told you about playing with polymer clay. I'm not as talented as Anita & Jillian to create such cute little miniatures as they do. However I was given an challenge idea...

This I like to call...."The Blob"! Creative...huh?

...takes me back to my childhood and playdoh...minus my Mother yelling at me for getting "crumbs" on the floor.

To this...

Back to this...

I worked this clay so much I got a cramp in my hand! I know you are asking what is the point of all this...what is she doing? (I asked myself this quite a bit)

Tah-Dah!!!

Here's the finished product:

I did use 2 colors to see which one would work the best...I'm still not sure about the purple. We'll see...
So, have you figured out what this is all about?

Buttons for Kauni!! Still haven't REALLY decided if they are "the ones" yet. The color is a bit off...oh well! What is a girl to do?

Hang with me while I work up a post for tomorrow!!

Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!!

That's awesome! Now you're making me want to dive into polymer clay even more. Both colors are really lovely. I'm sure that whatever you decide to go with will turn out super lovely.

Makeing your own buttons is perfect! The yellow might be too bright at least on the pc. Do you wear much purple? How about some shades of red or burnt orange?

I do know how to spell'making'. I hate typos reflecting on my know-how! And since you're labeled me OCD recently I HAD to fix it!!

How fabulous! Handmade buttons for a handmade sweater. I LOVE it. I think your buttons are beautiful and even if they don't end up being used for Kauri, I'm sure they'll be perfect for something soon. Wish I had the time to try doing this. I'll have to add it to my wish list. :o)

I think your buttons look great! Keep on messing with that clay, it'll seem easier to do every time. :)

They also make some awesome molds that can be used to make clay buttons! :O
