Whew...

Finally it's FRIDAY!!! Here lately I find it so hard to post mid-week, by the time the day runs down and I unwind...I'm asleep!
In other words...I've got a lot of making up to do!

I've had lots of guesses in my Contest, some very close...but if you haven't entered give it your best shot. You have another week to enter, comments will close at midnight on Feb 24th!

I've been meaning to share with you one of Hubby's latest creations!

If you're a new reader you may not know about his "relaxation therapy" (though there are times when a flute won't sound when one would wonder if it's really a "good therapy"~I've heard words and seen flutes flying through the air...really!)
He's revamped his website and started working with turquoise & malachite inlay. Go ahead enlarge the picture and look at the detail...if you want to hear what they sound like he has sound clips on his website.
All in preparation for Old Salem Days in September, he and my SIL will share a booth selling their crafts. Should be fun...though I've managed to stay away from downtown on this day for the past 10 years or so. Oh, I had my antique car in the annual car show one year (I think it was 1995)...but in my old age I don't handle the crowds very well!
I need to pull out a picture of my car and show it to ya!

I showed you a shot of my Winter Jasmine encased in ice the other day, well, it's in FULL bloom right now and beautiful...it's so nice to see flowers in the gloom of winter!
Now, last week (the 11th & 12th) we had 70 degree days...then it got cold again...the winds kicked up on Sunday! We had a maximum wind gust of 67 miles per hour with sustained winds of 45 mph for hours and hours, this caused LOTS of damage and literally hundreds of fires, one of which is still burning. Many, many people were without power for days...including Son#2 (Milo's daddy). We didn't lose power here but we lost lots of shingles off the roof and branches out of our tree out back! My pond was full of trash & leaves.

BUT...I think there's hope...

A sign? Hope??

I'm ready for Spring...what about you??

I do have Knitting progress to report but no pictures~

Kauni~can you believe it? I've cut the other armhole!! Woo-Hoo...I didn't even give a second thought to cutting it this time...I AM FEARLESS!!!

I do have a TOP SECRET Project I'm working on, can't show you until "the party of the first part sends it to the party of the second part"!

Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!!

Glad you didn't have any real damage from that bad weather! Spring? I'm feeling signs of Autumn in the air here. It's a bit cooler at night and there's just a feel of 'change' in the air that's really lovely. Oddly, my jonquil bulbs are up already too. It must be the cooler nights. Weird.

Beautiful flute! Inlay is a technique used quite a bit in gourds and one I hope to learn this year...cool to see your husband applying it!

Aahh...flowers. I long for spring!

Really pretty flute! I wish we had some winter flowers, the Jasmine is just gorgeous. I need to put out some of my bulbs, I forgot to last year, hope they are still viable. =)

I'm gonna get one of his flutes one day. I've got flute music playing on my blog. I love it and Jack does fine craftsmanship! Wishing I could play too.
Spring is coming. I saw 2 Robins yesterday.
