Tranquility Space…

Okay, so you all know me better than I thought…even if I did leave you a very obvious clue in yesterday’s picture!

I (as well as most of my neighbors) spent all of Saturday cleaning house and working in the yard just so I could spend my Sunday doing what I wanted to do!

Spinning calms me, it’s almost hypnotic…
Come with me…as I take you to my tranquil…spinning…knitting space ~~ the weather has finally turned for the better, it’s warm…the birds are singing (with an occasion territorial squabble-I have lots of birds houses)…hear the gentle trickle of the waterfall in the pond—see the fish begging for their breakfast…the gentle breeze brings my wind chime to life…hubby is tuning his latest flute creation...

THEN…

The abrasive sound of a lawn mower—like fingernails down a chalkboard! The ONE neighbor who didn’t mow on Saturday…JEEZ!
Not to worry...I patiently waited him out, I knew he would either run out of gas--or grass!! At any rate, I had a GREAT day of spinning!

Here’s hubby hard at work…

Keep on Knittin’ & Spinnin’!!

Yet ANOTHER thing we share in common. DH knows that I will NEVER ask/allow him to mow on Sundays. In fact, when we hear it in our neighborhood we take great pleasure in calling them heathens...especially the ones who crank up the lawnmowers upon arriving home from church. On the 7th Day the Lord DID NOT mow the lawn!

From all I can tell..you have mastered how to 'get away from it all'..enjoy! It was a beautiful day to just enjoy the great outdoors.

Nothing hacks me off more than settling in for a peaceful moment and then having to listen to someone mowing their yard for a couple of hours. There should be a law about when you can and can't cut your grass.

Good for you!!! I really loved that picture! I want to hear Jack play his flutes. They are really pretty. My son would probably like to have one.

Wood working husbands must go hand in hand with knitter wives. I have one too and my father is also quite a wood craftsman/carver.
My backporch swing is my special spot for knitting and reading. Yep, those mowers can be annoying.
