Tap-tap-tap...everyone still here??

...wow, it's been a week since I blogged!? And what a week it's been!

Lets see if I can do this without boring you all!

My 5K race last Saturday went well...I survived! I finished dead center of the pack!

Keyword is ...FINISHED! My finish time was 1 minute slower than my last race, but I finished--whew~! Again I'd like to THANK all those who donated, it was a great success. I was 4th highest in fundraising, something I never even thought of doing...I just wanted to run!

Sunday we had a GREAT Mother's Day cookout (well, it was also my DS's birthday party)...the dogs played themselves out! We were all pretty wore out.

Monday started a horrible week at work, and it's not over. I have 2 days to work this week before we head out for our annual Memorial weekend camping trip...ahhh, I can't wait!

...by Wednesday I decided to start job hunting!!

I missed WoW & DoT this week...sorry.

Friday came and a Vet emergency for Ole Ace, turned out to be a "hairball" issue. Do you know how hard it is to make a cat "lick" his medicine when he doesn't want it?! I've been having to shmeer it on his nose and he's NOT happy!

At about 4am this morning we had an EARTHQUAKE! Yes, SW Virginia had an earthquake...2.6 magnitude! I slept right through it, surprising since I don't sleep well these days. We got tickled at my Mom who said "She felt the earth move" -- maybe I don't need to tell you but this is not a statement you want to hear from your mother..I was thinking TMI! (hee-hee)

Today we or I should say Rudy took us to the 2nd Annual Mutt Strutt another great benefit event and what fun!

Rudy entered his a contest for his first public performance..no he didn't win but he DID perform! In case you need an explanation...he's begging!

This is the most adorable costume winner...sorry, I can't remember his name. Is that not the cutest thing ever?
We also saw a cute pair of pups that I'm sure were in the final vote..."Dorothy & the Cowardly Lion"!

And Rudy received his "Blessing of the Paws" as well as participated in the "Parade of Dogs"--fantastic event, we'll be back next year!

Hope you all are having a good weekend...any special plans?

Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!

Robin,
I slept through the Earthquake too! Rudy is so cute, that is cool for him to receive a Blessing of the Paws.

Look at Rudy sitting up so pretty! Glad to hear Ace is okay. I've been kinda out of the loop this week, too.

We've been having little earthquakes down here in Bama for the past 6 months or so. I never feel them, but it sure does make me wonder what's going on. ::shudder::

Sounds like you had quite a week. We have small earthquakes out here all the time. Most we don't even feel, but what a hoot about your dear mom. And Rudy is a star in my book. I love the blessing thing. That's a great idea. Job hunting. Good luck. Seems like we always know when it's time for a change. Congrats on finishing the run. I now have two days off before facing the tourists, again. Yesterday, a busload of French tourists. Mais, oui!

The Knight asked me if there really was an earthquake in Roanoke... now I can confirm!

We'll have to firm up plans for getting together while you're up this way.

Rudy should have won something. He's just too cute. Glad Ace is okay, even if he isn't enjoying his medicine.

We had an earthquake, too, 3.0 or something - in Arlington, Texas - the third one in 7 months they say. If I heard it at all I thought it was thunder, even though I did hear something odd that morning, but couldn't say it was that. hmmm weird

Congrats on your run and the doggie performances! =)

Congrats on the run!! Great job!

Thank goodness Ace is okay!! Dang hairballs are terrible. Jazzy won't touch that hairball stuff. I'm sure Mr. Ace is horrified at the indiginity of having it smeared on his nose, poor guy.

And Rudy looks adorable in that photo. :)
