Music Monday and a Day in History

As I sit here at 5am, listening to the thunder roar and watching the sky light up this song came to mind...enjoy

...AND

I remember where I was when this took place...do you?! (and don't tell me if you weren't born yet, you'll just make me feel old)

I was only 3 but I know I watched it because my mom told me I did. She wanted me to always be able to say I saw it - even if I didn't remember!

I was 19 days old. My childhood best friend was 2 days old, and thus, still in the hospital. Her mother, a science teacher, wasn't allowed to even venture to a TV elsewhere in the hospital...

July 20, 1969 was the day before my 7th birthday. My mom was ironing clothes and we kids were watching tv with her because the Apollo moon landing was on. I had no idea what the moon was or what I was watching. It was a black and white tv and the screen was grainy.

Um...so I guess you don't want to hear that I wasn't even a glimmer in my mother's eye at that point. lol

I do remember the moon landing. Our parents called my brother and me in to watch it on TV. My younger siblings hadn't been born yet. I was 4, my brother was 6.
