Green I Tell Ya....Green!

...I'm so envious of all the posts I've been reading about MDS&W!
Next year, I'm going!
It's not so much that I NEED anything....I just missed out on a Fiber Lover's version of WOODSTOCK!! (hereafter known as WOOLSTOCK)...And they all kept their clothes on~~well, except for the sheep!
I missed meeting everybody!! (sniff-sniff)

I seriously don't didn't need any fiber and/or yarn but I did it anyway, just so I'd have something to post about after the festivities!

My latest Stash Enhancement...

Thursday night's KnitNight David Simpson surprised us with a visit and his new line of sock yarn! So...(as Forrest would say) I bought some....again!

...and thanks to Ravelry and their "AD's" I found some more fiber to try...the colors grabbed me. Both are Merino/Silk blends.
At this point...I'm out of room for any more goodies in my fiber room...DD is going to have to give hers up!!

One more thing before I go, I want to apologize to the "anonymous commenter" from THIS post. I didn't mean to step on any toes. I just remember when things were simpler, and there were NO houses on SML. Listen, I even complain about my home town growing...traffic is horrible anymore. Maybe I'm just getting to the age point I need to move out in the country away from all the noise and commotion. Please accept my apology...

Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!!

yea, it was pretty cool. As a first timer it took looking at my roommates' stash before I could jump in and buy any real fiber. Then I realized that this thing wasn't going to last and if I wanted something more than what the LYS had to offer (without dealing with the uncertainty of on-line) I better get on it!

Next year!

Haha... I did my own "if I can't go I'll shop anyway" fit. In fact, it is still in progress, as I'm pondering a messenger style knitting bag...

I'm green, too! There is nothing even remotely close to a fiber festival near me.

The stash enhancement looks like it almost made up for you not being able to go. Not quite, though...

bwahahaahahaaaa.... You just THINK all of our clothes stayed on. It's very much like Vegas at MSW... what happens at S&W stays at S&W (with the exception of the stash and t shirt lines and the sheep and the stories and well, OK so we all did leave our clothes on...)

Your stash enhancement is very nice though!!

Oh, come on. You felt you had to apologize for your very benign comments about SML? Let's just be blunt about it. Eight story condos on a lovely lake in that part of Virginia with neighbors within a stone's throw? I hope you don't consider me to be blatantly rude, but it sucks.

A lake like SML should be a tranquil place that one can enjoy, not the summer paradise of the city folks. I remember camping about 15 years ago on a lovely little creek in the Jamestown/Williamsburg area (the campground is now a high-dollar subdivision). We had a site on the side of the creek with a beautiful view of the creek and marsh grasses. It was so peaceful and beautiful. All of a sudden a couple of jet skis burst upon the scene. They were SOOO out of place. I'll never forget how disturbing they were.
