Update~

Well, I'm plugging along on my projects! This nine-patch has been designed and redesigned as I go along...I can't say for sure I'm completely happy with what I have in my head right now but we'll see. I probably will have plenty of squares left over for maybe a lap quilt or something. I scrap quilt like my Granny taught me, nothing is ever set in stone. Very freeform and always ready for a change at anytime.
These squares are from all the 19th century dresses, linings & shirts I made over the years...another thing Granny taught me~~if you can get a square out of it--it's worth saving for a quilt! Believe you me, I have many Rubbermaid totes full of fabric scraps!

My Aran Wrap Cardigan is coming right along, I'm within 2 inches of finishing the last sleeve...then I'm ready to cast on the lower edge. (I'm dancing)

Trying to decide on what my next project will be...my queue is so out of control!

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend~~we're gonna have temps in the 70's. That after our only snowfall this past Monday! I don't think we'll do much, maybe go for a ride on the Parkway.

Do you have any special plans for the weekend?

Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!

I love scrap quilts! Intuitive design is the most fun kind to do :)

My plan for the weekend is - hopefully - to get some more sleep! What am I doing up this early?!

My grandma made a crazy quilt once, and it truly was crazy! The scraps were all shapes and sizes and colors. She just pieced them together however they fit, then trimmed the whole thing into a rectangle. It was beautiful.

Yours is looking great, too, and I can totally understand the out of control queue.

My plans for the weekend? I might finally get on up the road to the pet store and get that new stand for Scarlett's tank. And some more sock yarn.

For the blankie.

Sounds like your Grandma was one wise woman. I think people who lived through the Great Depression knew how to conserve, save, reuse. Good lesson for all of us. Can't wait to see the cardigan. I've been drooling over that pattern for months. I'll be knitting this weekend with snow on the way. First PT this afternoon. Have a good one!!

I'm sure the quilt will be lovely and Granny would be proud... Can't wait to see the finished cardigan. I wish I could share something I've finished, but such is secret knitting!

Scrap quilts are the best. That one must be fun to make because you remember all those dresses and shirts as you use the scraps. Have a great weekend!

I didn't realize you quilted too Robin?! I don't these days having made more quilts than I care to think about over 15 years a while back, but I still love them, and love the folksy type the best. Hope it's warming up for you! I can feel the change of seasons in the air here now. It's still hot during the day, but in the early mornings and late evenings, Autumn is definately calling to me. :)

I'm thinking I might try a doll size quilt with the scraps I have left over from making bags.

I'd love to quilt someday. When I have a more organized, less cluter house that is. And my own craft room. So guess that means never, {{sigh}}
