...the death march music!

In the morning an event will take place that I've been avoiding for quite some time now. Only the inevitable has come to pass~~

I've consumed a pretty good amount of wine this evening (the idea was to go out for Margarita's but my stomach's been tied up in knots all day), I have my valium prescription in hand and ready for the morning. The cabinets are stocked with plenty of "liquid diet" items (yuck) and I hubby has the ropes ready to hog-tie in order to get me in the car in the morning (awww, get your head out of the gutter...nothing kinky going on).
What's going on you ask? Here I'll show you...

So what happens this week? I get a head cold! I've pumped myself up for this and feel pretty ready for it...except for the fact I'm a BIG baby when it comes to pain in my mouth (I can honestly take pain anywhere else pretty darn well). They told me today that if I can't breath our of my nose or I'm running a fever they won't do the extraction. Please-please let me get this over with!

To make a long story short...I have an impacted wisdom tooth that needs to come out! Please think about me tomorrow--send me positive vibes!!

In the meantime...
Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!

I hate the dentist too, so I'm full of support and sympathy.
Last year I bit the bullet and spent all day (6 hours) in the dentist chair getting all the work that I had put off for years, done at one time. I was his only patient. He let me bring all my own music to listen too. I survived!! And it felt great after a few days. I was quite proud of myself. So go ahead and get it done. You will feel better for it. I know you can do it. You are a strong woman. Then get drunk!!!!!

I don't like dentists either. But getting my wisdom teeth out was the least painful visit I've ever been. They knocked me out and when I woke up, it was all done! :) Are they doing that for you???

I will think about you :) It will be much better after it's out, trust me! (I had one poking on the gum and it was AWFUL!)

Oh, you poor thing!!! It might not be fun, but it will feel soooooo much better once it's out!

And a drink never hurts. :)

Sending good thoughts your way. At least you'll have Rudy to snuggle when you get home again! (And perhaps Ace will be concerned enough not to glare for a bit?)

Oh Robin, big hugs and lots of positive reassuring vibes coming your way. (from someone who is too chicken to get her own impacted wisdom teeth out...I figure if they are not causing any trouble, I ain't gonna trouble them!!)

I'm so happy I'm not alone here. I HATE to go to the dentist. It's not even the pain... it's the anxiety! Ridiculous! Soooo, how did you do? Post something!

I haven't checked in in a while, and when I do, it's been several days since your last post. Ack, was the dentist visit that bad? Do we need to send out reinforcements? You ok?

Seriously, hope everything's good in your world.
