It's Official...

Last month I told you about THIS....well, if you want to see it you must before November 18th! Explore Park is closing it's doors, gates & windows to our past...

You can see more about this HERE. I can hardly stand it. Hubby and I will be volunteering for our very last time October 27th at the Sleepy Hollow Event. I'll demonstrate spinning at the Hofauger House (seen in this picture) in the 19th Century and Hubby will be at Fort Vause in the 18th Century working with his shavehorse. If you can, come on out and see this event...at least go one more time before the 18th of November!
Who knows what's going to happen with this wonderful piece of History?!?!

Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!!

AWWWW... How sad!!! Isn't this world backwards? Awhile ago David and I were watching a TV program and the people teared down the beautiful solid oak cabinets and put up some cheap crap, and there was no real different between two from the face front... Sad.

Oh so sad. These places should be kept alive for the kids of the future. But then you know how I feel about preserving the past......sisters!

Such a shame! The kids and I will definitely have to make it there before the doors close.

That is serious sad... this is one crazy world we live in, eh? I don't understand, never will.

I saw that kitty with the bat funny at another blog last week, I have watched it many times and I still giggle and snort plenty every single time!
All I could think was, thank goodness the moggies don't have opposing thumbs! ya know?

That's really awful. Maybe you could make yourself a sign to sit in front of you while you spin...something along the lines of: "I protest and abhore our loss of national history. The closing of this park is a disgrace." You might not be able to do anything about it, but you have a right to free speech. Well for now at least!

I was so surprised to hear this...yet still, not surprised. Hard times have hit the state budget...
