Another Week Begins...

Remember Mindi and Liam? Well....they walked on Saturday and check out their goal totals!

Woo~Hoo!! Way to go!!

I didn't win any yarn for my donation....but I WON by knowing I contributed to help their cause. Liam's smile is so special...he smiles with his heart!

On the knitting front:
I'm frogging the Charade Socks, this is the second (and last) time. The pattern doesn't provide much stretch, so I looking for a new "manly" pattern to use this STR for. Suggestions?

I don't have much left on my Rockport vest to finish...I just haven't picked it up lately.

Eva Braun...DONE!! Now I have more fiber to work on, I just need my arm to recover a little. I'm going to look like Popeye on my right side, time to learn to do some things left-handed!

Thanks for all the feedback about my new template, I'm still tweaking on it. Especially after a certain someone told me my banner reminded her of a concentration camp! A "certain someone" needs to get her own blog so I can make comments! So...I went back to the old banner. There are some things I can't do within the html code, or I just need to do a little more "homework" and learn.

Keep on Knittin' & Spinnin'!!!

Yaay for Liam and Mindy! When I made socks for my DH I just did a simple rib pattern 2/3 or something like that. (in other words I'm no help at all lol) I'm definitely liking the look of the blog today! Good job =)

I'm doing a plain ol' stockinette sock for dad but there's a great pattern I've bookmarked on yarnmiracle.com go to the patterns and it's the "wheat" pattern. Very nice and manly to boot...

At least the Charades aren't baggy on like a Jaywalker. Have you tried adding to the stitch count? Or what about a simple garter rib?

I do like the old banner better, I must admit. The beauty of it is -- it's your blog -- you can change it however you want! :-)

Yay for Liam and Mindy, Liam is precious... absolutely precious.
Way to go on Eva!
Hmmm, mansocks... I knit the Father,Son socks, nice simple manly pattern... IK pattern, I don't recall the issue though... I made a pair last November, part of the holiday knitting, for my FIL.

I was happy to read that Mindi & Liam's walk was such a success; that's great!

Sorry to read about your Charade socks. The only pair of manly socks that I've made thus far are the Pure & Simple Boot Sock. I'd be happy to send you the pattern.
