Happy 1st Day of Spring!!!!

Finally, here is my week 2 progress on my Civil War Shawl KAL...doesn't look like I got very far but when you are knitting with thread...
Babies, babies everywhere...good friends just told us they are expecting their 2nd child! I'm finishing up one sweater...starting a baby blanket (more about that in a minute) and now I've got another baby to make for! About the baby blanket...Big news~~Hubby is going to be a Grandfather! It's a big (and difficult) pill to swallow...kinda like when one turns 40! I'm excited...
One more bit of excitement...our DREAM trip is going to happen...finally! We were made an offer we couldn't pass up, but the chance to do it this summer was nullified by a business trip Hubby has this June in Phoenix. So June 2008 we are going to the *Homeland*~~Scotland!! We had this trip planned for May of 2002, but 9/11 happened and I chickened out! WOOHOO! I'm so excited I can't wait! So...I'll be making up a ticker for the trip!
Thanks for all the offers for contributions! This time frame will give me a chance to go on a semi-fiber diet (I can't completely cut our buying fiber) to save $$ for my trip! We plan to extend the trip to include Ireland too....so all my blogging buddies across the pond watch out...The Crazy Knittin' Chick is coming to town!
Well...today is Knitting Class for my girls! JH wants me to bring *The Wheel*~gotta go pack it up!
Keep on Knittin', Spinnin' & Walkin'!!

Congrats to Jack on being a grandpa. I see some baby knits in your future.

I love the job you did knitting matching your socks in the last post. A thing of beauty!

Robin, I love your shawl! Are you using Jaggerspun Zephyr for your shawl?

When I saw your post a few days ago, I ordered the pattern and signed up on the Yahoo group. I'll get a late start, but I'll be joining in the fun soon!

Happy First Day of Spring!
