Erin Go Bragh!

Happy St. Patrick's
Day to you!

Wishing you all the "Luck of the Irish"!

I found this bit of information...

Druids held the 4 leaf clover in high esteem and considered them a sign of luck. In 1620, Sir John Melton wrote: "If a man walking in the fields find any four-leaved grass, he shall in a small while after find some good thing.

Well..Spring here was short lived, we are having snow flurries today after massive rain yesterday that had the rivers & streams threatening to spill over their banks!

Of course the menu for today is all Irish...Corned Beef & Colcannon....
I don't think I'll be venturing out for the Parade, yeah...yeah, I'm a big baby! "It's too cold!"

March Madness is here! With the rain and cold that hit, it gave me the perfect opportunity to work my merino fleece and knit without guilt! HEY...UVA won their game yesterday! WaaHoo! Baseball season is right around the corner and I already have tickets to a game! Hubby has a business trip to Phoenix in June and while we are there the Diamondbacks will be playing.....(drum roll please) the Baltimore Orioles!!! We are also talking about going to Baltimore on my Bday for the BoSox game!! WooHoo...
Any readers from the Phoenix area? Any shops I MUST visit?
I've been looking for the various Stitch-n-Pitch games being held across the country, I just wish we had more closer to us! Maybe I need to have one at our local Avalanche game? I may be the only baseball fan in our local group, I've never asked!
How many knitters reading this are also campers? Anybody? I was thinking the other night about the fact Hubby and I love to camp that maybe we could meet at a campground and knit & spin? Now that I have my Sonata I'll be taking it camping with me!! Many of the Virginia State Parks now have cabins if you are more into "modern" conveniences...anyone game?

Gotta run...
Keep on Knittin', Spinnin' & Walkin'(brrrrr) !!!!

One more thing...Happy Mother's Day to GourdonGirl, SpinningFishWife and all the others in the UK!

There was some talk of trying to do a Stitch 'n Pitch at a Richmond Braves game, but not sure how far that got.

I'm not a huge baseball fan but do enjoy a live game and I know if Mom was free she's come to a stitch and pitch with us...
